Your email content never leaves your device. All analysis runs on your iPhone or iPad using Apple Intelligence.

Effective date: April 17, 2026.
Last updated: April 17, 2026.

At a glance

  • Your email content never leaves your device. All analysis runs on your iPhone or iPad using Apple Intelligence.
  • Veilsort software does not send your email content to Foculoom servers. Analysis runs on-device.
  • We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, trackers, or analytics tools in the app.
  • Before analysis, the app automatically masks names, email addresses, phone numbers, and postal addresses.
  • History is stored only on your device, encrypted with iOS Data Protection (.completeFileProtection), and auto-deletes on a schedule you choose (7–365 days; default 90).
  • We do not collect, sell, or share any personal information with anyone.

Who we are

Veilsort is made by Foculoom LLC, a California limited liability company. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Foculoom LLC. "You" means you, the person using the app.

Scope

This policy applies to the Veilsort iOS app only. It does not cover other Foculoom products, our marketing website, or third-party services you reach from the app.

What data we collect

None of your email content leaves your device. Here is what actually happens:

  • Email text you share into the app. When you use the iOS share sheet to send an email to Veilsort, the text is saved into a private, sandboxed container on your device. We never see it.
  • Analysis results. Deadlines, risk flags, suggested replies, and summaries are generated on your device and stored on your device.
  • Diagnostic counters. The app logs simple counters (for example, how often a specific diagnostic event happened) to the device's system log via Apple's MetricKit and OSLog. These counters contain no email content and no message payloads. They are never transmitted to Foculoom. iOS may send limited diagnostic telemetry to Apple under your system analytics settings; that processing is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, device identifiers, advertising IDs, IP address, or usage analytics.

How analysis works

  1. You share an email into Veilsort.
  2. The app masks personal details — names, email addresses, phone numbers, and postal addresses — before the text is analyzed.
  3. The masked text is analyzed on your device by Apple Foundation Models, part of Apple Intelligence.
  4. Results appear in the app and are saved on your device.

The app requires a device and iOS version that support the Apple Intelligence features used by Veilsort. Availability can vary by device model, language, and region. If Apple Intelligence is unavailable or disabled, the app will show a notice and analysis will not run.

Where your data is stored

All data stays on your iPhone or iPad:

  • Private app container. Emails shared into the app and analysis results live in a sandboxed container that only Veilsort can read.
  • Encryption at rest. Files are protected with iOS Data Protection at the .completeFileProtection level, meaning they are encrypted while your device is locked.
  • No app-managed cloud sync. Veilsort does not provide its own cloud sync service. If iCloud device backup is enabled on your device, app data may be included in that backup according to Apple's backup settings and policies.

How long we keep your data

You control retention. In Settings, you can choose a window between 7 and 365 days. The default is 90 days. When an item is older than your window, the app deletes it automatically.

You can also delete items manually at any time, or clear all history from the Settings screen. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device.

Your rights and choices

Because we do not collect your data, there is nothing for us to look up, export, or delete on our side. You have full control on your device:

  • Access: Everything is visible in the app.
  • Correction: You can edit or re-run analysis on any item.
  • Deletion: You can delete any item, clear all history, or uninstall the app.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you certain rights over your personal information. Because Veilsort does not collect, store, or transmit personal information off your device, there is no personal information for us to disclose, correct, or delete on our systems. For completeness:

  • Right to know / access: We hold no personal information about you.
  • Right to delete: You can delete all app data on-device at any time.
  • Right to correct: You can edit any on-device content.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information, for any purpose, to any party.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: We do not collect or process sensitive personal information on our systems.
  • Right to non-discrimination: You can exercise any of these rights without penalty.

To contact us about privacy rights, email support@foculoom.com.

Third parties

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, or data brokers. We do not transmit your email content to Foculoom or third-party servers.

Apple Intelligence runs as part of iOS. Apple's handling of Apple Intelligence, system diagnostics, and iCloud backup (if enabled by you) is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your device settings.

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect limited information about downloads and purchases. That data is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.

Children's privacy

Veilsort is designed for adults who handle sensitive correspondence (medical, legal, financial, and similar). The App Store 4+ rating reflects the absence of objectionable content; it does not mean the app is directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app does not transmit personal data to Foculoom, we do not maintain user personal data on our systems.

Security

We rely on iOS platform protections: app sandboxing, App Group isolation, and Data Protection encryption. No system is perfectly secure. Veilsort does not operate Foculoom servers for processing your email content.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and show a notice in the app. Material changes will be highlighted so you can review them before continuing to use Veilsort.
